We are so blessed to be getting married! As high school sweethearts, we have been through many phases of life together, and we are excited to enter our next phase in God's plan as a married couple. After five years of long distance and a year of planning, we are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you!
2019
4 October
Movie Night #1
After spending most of the semester in the library every day studying calculus with their friends, Kate invited the study group over for a Halloween movie night, the first of three. These movie nights kicked off the start of their “more than classmates” friendship, eventually leading to their “more than friends” relationship.
2020
10 January
She Said Yes!
(The First Time)
David asked Kate to be his girlfriend via a letter in her locker, at the advice of her best friend Gabby. Kate still has this letter, and remembers how nervous she felt to stand there holding it while she waited for David to arrive from class. Kate said yes, and it was the second easiest yes she has ever said.
14 February
The First Date
For Valentine’s Day, the two went on their first real date, ice skating. Although they had both been before and were pretty steady on their feet, both were more than happy to accept the excuse of “improved stability” to hold hands.
15 May
The First 'I Love You'
After four months of dating and their first Friday night date night, indoors thanks to COVID, David told Kate he loved her under a star-filled sky as they said goodnight. The rest of their relationship has been spent always making sure the other feels as loved and happy as they both did hearing it for the first time.
2021
1 May
Prom!
Although the last part of their junior and all of their senior year had been online, David and Kate were lucky enough to get a prom together. It was a magical night and their first slow dance to an Ed Sheeran song. The ribbon of Kate’s prom corsage will be tied around her wedding bouquet to highlight how special it is to marry your high school sweetheart.

The End Of An Era
David and Kate graduated from high school together with the hope of making the most of their summer together before starting long distance. Although the COVID pandemic had made their high school experience less than normal, they had enjoyed every Friday night date night and had high hopes for their college years.
23 August
The Beginning Of Long Distance
David moved to College Station for his undergraduate degree, 150 miles from San Antonio. While long distance had its challenges, David and Kate know they each grew in communication and trust in these years.
2024
18 August
Even Longer Distance
Kate moved to Amarillo for graduate school, putting 450 miles between her and David. This caused weekend trips to be few and far between, but Kate and David knew it would only be for a short time (and Kate has loved her time in Amarillo).
2025
12 March
Ring Shopping
Kate and David made a date of venturing to Austin to “just browse” for an engagement ring. Little did Kate know, when she made up her mind and got kicked out of the appointment, David was buying her dream ring.
6 April
She Said Yes!
(The Second Time)
Under the guise of taking more wildflower photos with their resident photographer, David’s talented mom, David brought Kate back to where they had previously taken her graduation photos. To Kate’s complete surprise, David proposed, and it was the easiest yes she has ever said.

Wedding Party
GabbyGabby is the maid of honor and has known kate for ten years. The two bonded over a love for the outdoors and spent years volunteering together at church. Gabby helped David decide how to ask Kate out all those years ago and, in a full-circle moment, also helped keep the proposal a surprise when Kate started to get suspicious.
GuntherGunther is the best man and has known David for ten years. The two met in seventh-grade gym class and share a love for video games and board games. Just like Gabby, Gunther played a role in helping Kate and David get together in high school and has since become one of their best friends.
